Dairy Beef Quality Assurance

Dairy Beef Quality Assurance (DBQA) is an extension of Beef Quality Assurance (BQA). It is a voluntary program designed for dairy producers, who derive their primary income from the production and sale of milk, but also make a significant contribution to the beef supply through the sale of market cows from the dairy herd. DBQA raises producer awareness of their “steak” in the beef business and promotes best management practices that assure food safety, consumer confidence and dairy beef quality.

BQA and DBQA programs throughout the United States follow national guidelines and leadership of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association’s Quality Assurance Program. Through the $1 per head beef checkoff – America’s dairy, beef and veal producers fund these Quality Assurance programs for producers.
